Important games allegedly took place across Europe and North America this past week, but the most meaningful story in soccer right now is the ongoing French sex tape saga. Karim Benzema and Djibril Cissé have both been accused of trying to blackmail French national teammate Mathieu Valbuena over a sex tape. Hosts Kevin Brown and Miriti Murungi break down a few theories on the case and release the audio of the phone calls that some (no one at all) believe landed Benzema in jail.
Later, they discuss the retirement of Eddie Johnson, his legacy with the U.S. national team, and his underrated impact on American soccer.
To close out on a high, former MLS and U.S. U-20 coach Thomas Rongen joins the show to discuss American youth development, and the the gaps he sees in the way our current system both scouts for talent and chooses to develop it.
