Benny Feilhaber’s concerning mullet situation explained

Sporting Kansas City midfielder Benny Feilhaber is known for the occasional outlandish stunt. If you’re short on time and don’t have time to catch up on all of said stunts, just watch an episode of his wacky talk show appropriately called “The Benny Feilhaber Show.” It probably won’t get picked up by VH1.

Got it? Good.

As of the writing of this post, Feilhaber is running around the field at Sporting Park (against the Chicago Fire) looking like an old episode of Magnum P.I.:

Yes, that’s a “KC” carved into the side of his head. Here’s a Vine so you can get the full 360 degrees of this carefully sculpted mullet.

Unsurprisingly, people are impressed:

But there are reasons for B-Fail’s hair situation. I’ll let B-Fail explain:

Got it? Benny’s hair situation is for a good cause. He let fans choose his next haircut by making donations toward specific hair styles. Benny promised to get the haircut with the most donations. Which is why he ended up getting rid of this monstrosity:

All the proceeds from the hair selection process were earmarked for The Victory Project, a Sporting KC initiative that helps Kansas City-area kids get through various life challenges.

But good cause or not, remember, “the fans” chose this haircut. You people did this to him. So either blame or applaud yourselves. I don’t know how you people sleep at night.

Now you have all of the information.
