Brazil’s latest dance craze, the Passinho – or “Little Step” – has reshaped the lives of millions of kids whose futures would otherwise have belonged in South American drug cartels. Now, the new trend that originally got traction through YouTube has reached global success. Recently Beyonce hired dancers from the favelas of Rio as members of her tour, and Coca-Cola has invested millions in a new campaign focused on the Brazilian rhythm.
